All posts about Maison Serraj

“House of fine Moroccan and contemporary pastry” Maison Serraj was founded in Casablanca by Mohamed Serraj, born to a couple of professional fassis cooks.

It was in Derb Sultan that he opened his first shop, where he sold refined, delicate cakes with subtle flavours that filled the mouth. He set up shop in 1954, thirty years ahead of Amoud!

La Maison Serraj, today, has three shops in Casablanca, with those of 2 Mars and Socrate which allow you to choose your favourite cakes, it is also a catering service.

It is also the third generation of a family business, where the children have taken over and developed their parents’ creations.

Modern and rooted in modernity, with a very wide range of traditional and contemporary pastries, Maison Serraj is an address of choice for gourmets.

Less sugar, organic, Moroccan ingredients

The reason these cakes are so good is that they are both light, full of flavour and low in sugar. A challenge for the traditional Moroccan pastry that still has its followers, but whose caloric load no longer matches the taste of the day.

The ingredients are carefully selected, the honeys are, for example, real honeys and not glucose-based products, etc. The group avoids synthetic flavours, prefers for example real vanilla… all this comes at a price, but the value for money is unbeatable!
