All posts about Rabat

Located less than a hundred kilometres from Casablanca, Rabat is the administrative capital of the country, the city where ministries and big administrations are concentrated.  The atmosphere of this large white city with wide arteries is totally different from that of Casablanca, although it is also located by the sea. Rabat is separated from its neighbouring city, Salé, by the Bou-Regreg river, in practice the two cities form a single agglomeration.

Rabat also has an old medina, unlike Casablanca, it is the Kasbah of Oudayas, on the seafront.

It is good to live in Rabat. Moreover, many Moroccans take advantage of the easy connections with Casablanca to live in Rabat and work in Casa. Whether by train or by car, it takes about an hour to connect the two cities.

Rabat is hosting an exhibition by photographer Touhami Ennadre at the Mohammed VI Museum until 30 January. There's still time to go - I can guarantee you an artistic shock.
