Cirque du Soleil is world-renowned for its dreamlike shows.
Originating in Quebec, this show company has completely renewed the genre since it was founded in 1984. There are never any animals in the shows, just acrobatic acts staged to a high standard, with a real sense of drama. The acrobats are also actors, telling a story as much through their performance as through their acts.
Particularly in Morocco, where the circus is still seen as a children’s show, the arrival of Le Cirque, held in Rabat, will enable Moroccans to enjoy particularly beautiful performances that appeal to the whole family.

Until 15 April 2012, cirque du Soleil is presenting Saltimbanco (Saltimbanque) at the Mohamed V complex.
Saltimbanco is a fairly old show, having been created in 1992, and is the historic production by Francisco Dragone, the former artistic director who gave Cirque du Soleil its worldwide reputation.
The essential message of the show, “We must go beyond our differences, whatever our colour or background”, is particularly appealing to Moroccan audiences.
The argument is built around the dreams of the Dormeur, which will gradually make the show, and on the other hand, the imagination of a child who brings the adventurous and joyful touch while being in search of his identity.
Tickets cost between 450 and 750 dirhams.
Detailed timetables are available on the maroctickets.ma website, where tickets can be purchased online.
Saltimbanco is a show on which the curtain has fallen. After Morocco, there was Dubai in May 2012, and then nothing.
