Boulevard de la Corniche, near the Cabestan, Ummaya and Lily's, the other restaurants of the Cabestan Group to which it belongs, Maison Alexis is an old name, since it was founded by Alexis Romand in 1951. … but in France, in Montpellier.
And it was in 2018 that the Le Cabestan Group opened the brand in Casablanca, adding an address of “haute pâtisserie gastronomique” to the Casablanca address book. La Maison Alexis immediately found its public, so much so that a second point of sale was quickly opened, in a corner of La Grande Brasserie.
The individual cakes are irresistible (with a particular fondness for the lemon tart with its fluffy meringue), and the traditional Moroccan pastries are perfectly mastered. It is in the viennoiserie and bakery section that you can take advantage of the know-how of the Montpellier craftsmen, with an indecent kouign aman, soft babkas and above all natural leavened breads, in slow fermentation, which will make it impossible for you to eat the industrial breads proposed by other shops.
A number of the cakes are gluten-free, but with a lot of deliciousness (who said a Black Forest, for example, had to contain gluten?). Maison Alexis also offers a cake design service for special occasions.
Ordering and delivery are assured even outside Casablanca. In Casablanca, La Maison Alexis works through Jumia Food, but it is also possible to order directly.
(The “postal” address is that of the second shop)
