There are many superstitions surrounding jinns in Morocco. They love water, and we protect ourselves from them by putting salt in the wall of our hammams, for example. What about swimming pools?

Moroccans are afraid of the evil eye, and the best protection against it is a protective hand. The Hamsa, or hand of Fatima, therefore protects them, as a pendant, decoration, door knocker, etc.

Between superstition and spirituality, there are the Issawiyya, known for their ability to control snakes and fire and to ward off demons with their songs and music.
