Located one hour from Casablanca by motorway, the former Portuguese city formerly known as Mazagan is attracting more and more foreign residents. It has indeed many advantages:
- a moderate Atlantic climate, never too hot thanks to the trade winds
- a much less polluted air than in Casablanca
- the proximity of the capital
- very beautiful beaches, blue flag for several years
- an economic activity that does not depend only on tourism, thanks to the Jorf Lasfar factory
- a lower cost of living than Casablanca
In conclusion, the seaside city has everything to please. It hosts the annual horse show.
Two beaches in El Jadida have been awarded the Blue Flag: the main beach and Haouzia, a reward for the efforts of the municipality, which has "cleaned up" the coastline.
