All posts about Mohammedia

Located about twenty kilometres north of Casablanca, Mohammedia would be a popular suburb of the capital, if industry were not so present. Indeed, with the presence of the Samir, it benefits from a very large refinery and the largest oil port in Morocco. Many other industries have set up production units in Mohammedia.

And even if the city is not a major industrial centre, it is still a place where people live and work.

Also, even though it is significantly smaller than Casablanca, the city remains quite polluted. It also once suffered from malaria problems, but the surrounding marshes have been treated, and the risk of malaria has become non-existent.

Young and dynamic, the city nonetheless has many assets, including several universities, and a cost of living significantly lower than Casablanca.
