Daylight saving time in Morocco: from 2 May 2011 to 8 August 2011, Morocco will switch to daylight saving time, returning to standard time just a few days before the start of Ramadan. Or perhaps not… with just a few weeks to go before the scheduled date, there has been no official announcement.

In Morocco, we don't do anything like everyone else, and we have fun cancelling a time change at the last minute because we forgot about Ramadan!

A relatively minor but impressive invasion of locusts in southern Morocco. It is easy to imagine the damage that could be caused by larger swarms.

The tradition is the negotiation of the fine, which will eventually be paid directly to the police officer for a small fee. Modernity is the new highway code and the radar, not yet in operation.

Living in Morocco means, depending on the region, being very cold in winter, in houses that often have no heating other than the fireplace... or the reversible air-conditioning. In 2006, as is often the case, the Tichka road was covered in snow.
